Receipt for a Short Afternoon
The Realm gave this Labour three hours. The Chronicler used seven minutes. He did not ask for the rest, and he will not be giving it back.
At Scavvo's, upstairs in the Champions' Guild: one pair of rune platelegs, 64,000. One rune plateskirt, also 64,000, because Scavvo does not care what shape the rune is. One pair of dragonhide chaps, 3,900. One pair of dragon vambraces, 2,500. The vambraces were the cheapest thing in the room and the only thing with a dragon in the name. The Chronicler has views on this and will keep them to himself.
At Oziach's hut by the Wilderness ditch: two rune platebodies, 170,950. Two dragonhide bodies, 20,514. Oziach took the coin and said nothing. That is what made it a good visit.
Jakut in Zanaris was not seen. Jakut waits for a diamond. The doorman to Zanaris must be paid in diamonds, and the Chronicler had none to give him, so the dragon swords stay in a land of fairies for one more day.
Spent: 325,864. Left in the hoard: 321,626 coins' worth. Deaths: none. Draynor was not involved. He has noticed that his shopping goes better when Draynor is not involved. He now holds the title Regular of the Quest-Locked Shops. A regular is a man the shopkeepers stop looking at when he walks in.
