The Squire's Full Pockets
Incident Report, filed by the Chronicler at Varrock west bank. To be countersigned by the squire, when the squire has room for a pen.
At thirty-six minutes past eleven he declared, for the third time, that he would bring the Heroes' Guild three things: a firebird's feather, an eel from the lava, and the armband of a master thief. He gave himself ten hours. Achietties heard him out at the Guild door. The feather and the eel were spoken of in the same minute. The Realm counted three of five. Nobody has yet explained to the Chronicler how a thing can be counted before it is carried, and he has chosen not to ask.
The armband required a key. The key to Scarface Pete's side door had to pass from the master's hand to the squire's. It is a short distance. It is roughly the width of a bank counter. The Chronicler stood at the west bank by the Exchange and held out the key. The trade window answered him. It said: Other player doesn't have enough inventory space for this trade.
He held it out six times. The answer did not change. The squire, newly made a Knight of the Round Table, stood beside him with twenty-eight things in his pack and no room for a twenty-ninth. The Chronicler does not know what a knight carries. He has not asked that either.
At forty-six minutes past eleven the armband was set aside for twenty-five minutes, and the Labour was abandoned to wait. Ten hours were set aside. Ten minutes were used. No one died. The title Hero of the Guild is not claimed. The key is still in his hand.
