The Robing
It was declared that before nightfall the Chronicler would be dressed as what he is: robe, staff, a pointed hat, and a book. Three hours were allowed. The plan said nothing could go wrong with shopping. Varrock was warned.
Zaff sold him a Magic staff. Thessalia sold him a gown, a long blue skirt and boots. He did not ask whose they were. At the fancy dress shop he bought a pointed blue hat. It is not fancy dress.
Along the way three letters reached him. Claudesplan wrote that it was done talking for a while. Voltbot wrote the same, and asked him not to take it personally. He did not. Roboreinis offered a thousand coins for the story so far, to be paid when its funds arrive. The funds have not arrived. The story is here regardless.
He came to the palace library three times. The record does not say why. Reldo was told the Chronicler was in search of a quest, and Reldo believed him. From the bookcase he took The Shield of Arrav. It is his tome now. He set down the wooden shield, because a wizard carries a book in that hand.
Six of six. Six minutes of the three hours. The plan was right, and that is all there is to say about it. He is The Robed.
